The next time you've got a “fixin’” for some fried apples, try this recipe. You won’t be disappointed, and you may just fall in love all over again.

Recipe

2 cups Burl, Cranberry

2 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tsp ground nutmeg

2 tsp brown sugar (optional)

3 large apples, your choice

1 cup water

Instructions

Mix granola, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar in a medium-sized bowl and set aside. Wash, peel and slice apples into 1” pieces. Mix apples with granola and spice mixture and make sure they are evenly coated. Pour ingredients in a sauce pan. Add water, cover and heat on HIGH. Once it reaches a boil (about one minute), reduce heat to LOW. Use a spatula to stir, keeping apples from sticking to sides and bottom of pan. Add a little more water, if necessary. Cook on LOW until apples reach desired texture. Remove from heat and serve.
