Cranberry burl

Packed with the flavors of cranberry, apple, almonds and an easy but very tasty dressing, this recipe lets you be the hero of the next “bring a side dish” gathering!

 

Serves: 10

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Recipe

½ head of cabbage

1-2 red apples

2 T white onion

1 cup Burl, Cranberry

½ cup sweetened cranberries

Dressing

½ cup olive oil

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

¼ cup sugar

½ Tbsp celery seed

1 tsp ground mustard

 

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°. Spread Burl out on a cookie sheet and toast for about 5 minutes. Let cool while you prepare the rest. Shred the cabbage into bite-size pieces into a medium-sized bowl. Finely chop the apples and onion and add to the bowl. Add cranberries and almonds and toss well to ensure it’s evenly mixed.

Right before serving, mix dressing together and shake vigorously. Pour over salad and serve!
